FACT: Park West Gallery completely ignored Fine Art Registry phone requests last year for information and interviews with key Park West Gallery representatives concerning reported Park West Gallery deceptive trade practices.

Fine Art Registry is fair and balanced. We like to get all sides of the story and so we made good faith efforts to see if Park West Gallery would cooperate. We figured that if Park West Gallery was the great company they claimed to be that they would welcome the opportunity to speak with us. Did Park West Gallery tell us their side of the story? NOT A CHANCE.

Here's what happened:

Last year, on September 5, 2007, an anonymous individual from Park West Gallery subscribed to the Fine Art Registry Forum (Kristen Berry with Park West Gallery claims partial authorship) and posted a plea for those dissatisfied with their Park West Gallery purchases to phone its customer service department. In the same post, Park West Gallery called out David Phillips (DavidCP) of Fine Art Registry who had already attempted one phone call and invited him to phone its customer service department again, stating in part:

"Please give us a call back; we would be happy to answer any of your questions and share with you the story of Park West Gallery, and our unparalleled 40-year history."

For those who have not read the Park West Gallery FAR Forum post, you can find the post here in its entirety: Park West Gallery and Cruise Ship Auctions - Part I

David Phillips of Fine Art Registry replied with the following forum post:

"I'm not sure who I'm addressing but I will call tomorrow (6 Sept) first thing as I do have a lot of questions about a lot of things. I hope I can speak to someone who can really answer my questions. I am interested in interviewing Mr. Albert Scaglione as well as talking to Arthur Scheepers. The phone numbers he gave Lynn Beddow to call him at don't work and he doesn't answer his e-mails. But I will call tomorrow with my questions and we'll see where we go from there."

To set the record straight, David Phillips did in fact phone Park West Gallery on September 6, 2007. What follows is the recorded telephone conversation David Phillips had with Kristen Berry, Public Relations Coordinator for Park West Gallery:

DAVID PHILLIPS NEVER HEARD A WORD BACK FROM PARK WEST GALLERY, ALBERT SCAGLIONE, OR ANY OTHER PARK WEST GALLERY REPRESENTATIVE. IN FACT, PARK WEST GALLERY COMPLETELY IGNORED DAVID PHILLIPS’ AND FINE ART REGISTRY REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION AND TO THIS DAY, PARK WEST GALLERY HAS NEVER RESPONDED.
