Breaking News from Some Current and former Park West Gallery Employees

Former Park West Gallery employees and those with insider knowledge into the Gallery's underbelly have shared some very interesting information regarding the current state of affairs at Park West Gallery and we believe it is important to share the latest with our readers. It bears repeating that the individuals reporting to us insisted on anonymity for fear of repercussions from Park West Gallery and with good reason. The more Fine Art Registry® reports these things, the more rabid the representatives and lawyers of Park West Gallery become. However, it should be pointed out that the information presented here comes from very reliable sources within Park West Gallery.

THE LATEST

"Park West has ordered ALL OLD MASTER works of art OFF of ALL ships worldwide immediately. Specifically, any works with signatures by ANY Master (Picasso, Chagall, Miro, Rembrandt, etc.) These are to include works such as Zami Steynovitz as well. Anything with a signature is being removed! Some ships have returned over 100+ works of art to the Park west Gallery Miami Lakes warehouse. They are leaving the animation signatures and sports signatures (Muhammed Ali) on board.

I am sure you can see right thru this move. They [Park West Gallery] are paranoid about signature works being on ships right now...interesting!"

IN OTHER NEWS FROM A PARK WEST GALLERY INSIDER, we have learned the following story:

"The Tale of the Park West Gallery 'Picasso Barcelona Suite'
or Another Park West Gallery Debacle

Years ago, Park West Gallery was selling unsigned lithographs from 'Picasso Barcelona Suite' which was being sold in a museum gift shops. Suddenly, Park West Gallery was able to obtain a collection of hand signed prints. Morris Shapiro lectured ship auctioneers, sales staff and prospective buyers on the importance of these prints and their value, stating:

'Years ago the art world used to poo-poo the so called 'After Prints' (reproductions of famous paintings published by museums) but now after the Japanese invasion of the art market they are becoming more and more desirable due to the gorgeous imagery.'

And Park West Gallery successfully sold quite a few for over $100,000 each.

Then one of the self-educated inventory "researchers" employed with Park West Gallery, sent a letter to the Picasso Museum in Barcelona requesting authentication of the signed Park West Gallery collection of Picasso prints. When the Picasso Museum refused authentication, almost immediately the Park West Gallery 'Barcelona Picasso Suite' was taken off the walls to be 'archived' [closeted] and sales staff was instructed never to mention them again.

The question is: Will Park West Gallery ever notify the unsuspecting owners and recall the artwork they have already sold and refund the poor people that have been duped? The unsigned pieces are near worthless."

Editor's Note:

If anyone owns a Park West Gallery signed "Picasso Barcelona Suite" print that they purchased shipboard or at a Park West Gallery VIP event, please contact Fine Art Registry for immediate assistance at or phone us at 888-595-2787. It was reported to us that at least 20 or more of these bogus prints were sold to unsuspecting customers at over $100,000 each, resulting in potentially millions of dollars in sales to Park West Gallery for prints that are reported as having inauthentic signatures.

Stay tuned for much, much more. We will be reporting some interesting inside information on the Park West Gallery Erte prints soon.
